STS-UY 2614/W Science Fiction for Innovation4 Credits A distinct genre of literature emerges during the twentieth century that imagines new possibilities and challenges for human society in light of scientific and technological change. This course reviews important authors of this field, considering whether science fiction can be an agent of social change and how well it can critique or imagine the interaction between science, technology, and society.
Prerequisite(s): Completion of first year writing requirements Note: Satisfies a Humanities and Social Sciences Elective.
