Requirements for the Masters of Science
Students are expected to have an undergraduate degree in a science or engineering discipline and must have taken undergraduate courses in (1) biochemistry and (2) cell and molecular biology, or they may take these classes at NYU-Poly. The 30-credit curriculum consists of three parts:
- Five required courses in biotechnology, protein and tissue engineering, enzyme catalysis and biosensors (15 credits);
- Three elective courses in biotechnology and related fields (9 credits); and
- Two more elective courses or Guided Studies in Biotechnology, involving laboratory or literature work (6 credits).
To meet graduation requirements, students must have an overall average of a B in all courses. Required Courses: 15 Credits

Students must select courses from the following list: Guided Studies: up to 6 Credits
Students may optionally enroll in up to two Guided Studies courses (one per semester), which involve laboratory or literature work, as arranged with their advisers: |
