ME-UY 4383 Introduction to Radiation Physics and Dosimetry3 Credits Theory and practice of Radiation and Health Physics. Atomic and nuclear structure, X-ray and gamma radiation, interaction of ionizing radiation with matter, and effects of ionizing radiation on living tissue. The course also introduces the principles of radiation detection, radiation measurement, and external and internal dosimetry.
