ECE-UY 3363 Real-Time Embedded Controls and Instrumentation3 Credits Introduction to real-time embedded systems. Overview of utilization of embedded micro-controllers and micro-processor for real-time applications. Concepts of modeling and simulation of real-time systems and their hardware-in-the-loop realization. Overview of various sensors and actuators and the associated instrumentation. Electrical and communication standards for interfacing sensors and actuators in embedded systems. Sample micro-controllers and micro-processors and FPGAs in embedded applications. Operating environment in real-time processing systems and software implementations. Case studies of control systems.
