PH 2033H Honors Waves, Optics and Thermodynamics

Water, sound, and electromagnetic waves. Reflection, scattering, and absorption. Standing waves and spectra. Superposition, diffraction and beats. Geometrical optics. Introduction to thermodynamics; temperature, heat, and entropy. This course treats the same topics as PH 2033 but because of the intended audience, in greater depth.
