MG 1002 Foundations of Management2 Credits This course introduces the principles and practices of management. Management is viewed as a system of tasks and activities, including environmental scanning, planning, organizing, leading and controlling. Within each major task, is a series of processes, which show how to do what has to be done. Management is a science and an art; both aspects of management are covered in this course. Major emphasis is on management history, philosophy and the theory and practice of management planning, decision making, organizing, motivating and leading.
